Here's a little more info...XM84 Stun Grenade
The XM84 Stun Grenade is a non-fragmentation, non-lethal "Flash And Bang" stun grenade that is intended to provide a reliable, effective non-lethal means of neutralizing & disorienting enemy personnel. This is only one of the devices out there.
Unfortunately, this particular model has been known to severely burn individuals.
You have probably seen reports of these being used in the Middle-East conflicts. One story I recall, Israeli soldiers fired a stun grenade into a schoolyard in the divided West Bank city of Hebron, burning 10-13 children.
They reportedly used the device because they knew it wouldn't kill the children, but it would burn them badly enough to require medical treatment and removal from the school.
So, non-lethal but definitely not harmless. BK

Personally, I'm far more fond of the rubber bullets, the crushed velvet landmines, the jello bomb, NERF missiles, Jello bombs, and....
Vegetable Soup out of a big fire hose... CHUNKY style of course.
