Thomas Gathman is an acquired taste. You acquire that taste about five minutes after entering his vision of the world. Genius. Pure. Dirty. Honest. Clean. Truthful. Filthy. Stark. Madness….

The man has an eye. He has a keen sense of framing and balance. He uses light and shadow, milking meaning. He has an outrage. He has a delicate — so delicate — sense of sensibility.

He shows us our world…as it is — beautiful in its ugly, ugly in its decadence. And then there are moments when he gives us a pause and unveils for us pure sanctity, catching simplicity in the natural as well as in a manufactured reality.

I love his vision.

WARNING: You MUST see the entire installment to grasp, to comprehend, to understand. That’s why I’m not showing you ANYTHING. Go there. Now. Take the time to SEE.
